Here’s What You Can Expect
Once you’ve decided to move forward, our Discovery meeting will include a high-level assessment of your property (if applicable), your goals for the home’s size and layout, and our estimated turnaround time for each phase. After Discovery, you will receive the Client Checklist and Contract, which are required to begin Design.
Design begins upon receipt of retainer. Design revisions occur until the layout and elevations are to your satisfaction. Construction documents are then created: electrical, structural, floor and roof plans, elevations and building sections. CHD supervises the submission of your construction documents to the appropriate agencies for engineering, permitting, site plan (surveyors) approvals, stamps and signatures, etc. as well as delivery of field-ready working documents. You can be confident that the beautiful home you see in your mind will be translated perfectly to a plan that communicates exactly what your Builder and Tradespeople need to construct your new home.
Any firm can draw a home layout, but none can blend the unique client’s taste with the natural surroundings of the land, with the covenants, codes, and/or engineering requirements, with an innate artistic talent, with potential unknown factors – as well as Chris and CHD Home Designs!
